HOTFOOT Online | Spring 2019 - Embracing Resilience

HOTFOOT Online is One Dance UK’s bi-annual publication focusing on Dance of the African Diaspora (DAD) and provides a platform for critical debate around the dance practices of the African Diaspora in the UK and beyond.

The theme of this issue is 'Embracing Resilience', sharing the journeys and perspectives of individuals, organisations and collectives that embrace resiliency as a mechanism for thriving in dance within the UK and beyond. In this interactive magazine, we are fortifying our legacies, building the foundations, presenting many perspectives on access and highlighting the empowered bodies leading dance into the future. Additionally, we dedicate this edition of HOTFOOT to Thea Barnes as we celebrate her life and legacy with an article written by Akosua Boakye BEM and the Barnes Family.
