The NDTA is interested to develop
guidelines concerning specific Health and Safety issues for dance
teachers and would welcome input from members. Please email us
if you have any examples of good practice eg department policy
documents or have any particular issues that you consider it
would be useful for the NDTA to address.
We recommend Safe Practice
in Physical Education (1999) as a very helpful and comprehensive
guide, which includes a specific section on teaching dance.
